The Primary Section lasts for 6 years (Stages P1 to P6). The language of teaching and learning is English, although students continue to study other languages including Kinyarwanda and French. By the end of the Primary Section, our students should be confident communicators in all three languages fluently.
Our Primary programme follows the National Competence Based Curriculum. The core subjects taught are Kinyarwanda, English, Mathematics, French, Social and Religious Studies, Science and Elementary Technology. Students are assessed at the end of each month, and monthly assessment report is produced and provided to all learners in primary section. At the end of each term, study sat for comprehensive assessment prepared by the school in term one, by the District in term 2 and by the Government in term 3.
In this Section, we work hard to provide learning experiences for our students which are as active and as engaging as possible. We aim to create independent learners who have the determination and skills to organize and reflect on their own learning.
