Today July 15, 2022, School Leaders, Local Authorities, Parents, Staff and pupils gathered at Elite
Parents’ School to celebrate key achievements in promoting quality education in the region within
five years (5) from its creation.
From January 23, 2017 up to July 15, 2022, five and half (5.5) years of building the strong foundation
of the Elite Parents’ School. The school started with 8 pupils on the first day (23 January 2017) and
ended up with 19 pupils in the same academic year. So far, it counts around 221 who were
registered in the school. In terms of staff, we started with 3 staff and now we have 21 permanent
staff.
During this ceremony, Parents have praised the school achievements as its impact is now impressive.
The school offered jobs to many permanent and non-permanent workers; the school pays taxes on
monthly basis, citizens around get sell their agriculture stuff to the school and get money, house
owners get rentals from our rented staff on monthly basis, pupils are no longer suffering to long
distances to attend other schools in Kigali or Muhanga, because it was the main mission from the
school founders.
The celebration was characterized by Pupils animation and parade, pupils’ performance through
traditional and modern songs, poems, recitations and art performance, leaders’ appreciation
messages. The Cerebration was also marked by the awards to the best teachers and pupils for their
outstanding contribution to the school performance. The best pupils in Primary Section were
awarded with brand new bicycles while the rest were given school materials. The best staffs were
awarded with Bronze Medals and gifts. It was also marked by the graduation of thirty three (33)
learners in the top level (Nursery 3) who worked hard to finish their academic programs and also
they convinced all parents here presented.
The ceremony was officially closed by the speech of Christine NYIRANDAYISABYE, the Executive
Secretary of Gacurabwenge Sector, who commended the efforts made by the school initiators and
the impact is now seen. She appreciated the school contribution in the education sector, whereby it
contributed to the school overcrowd, and reduced long distance for little kids. She appreciated the
elite parents’ who decided to bring their children to be educated in this school and finally pledged
her support to ensure this school delivers its mission.
